AI’s Ability to Think Like Humans Could Be Frightening
AI is starting to do a lot of things that humans do too, which is understandably worrying among people about their jobs being put at risk. But if that wasn’t enough, scientists are now trying to make AI think like a human brain with memories and events trained into its systems.
You could say that AI is smart and fast because we train it to be so, but the fact that people are now experimenting with all kinds of things with AI becomes a scary thought. And researchers at University College London (UCL) are trying to do these complex and troubling things with artificial intelligence, according to a new report.
The university uses the technology to train artificial intelligence about the structure of our mind, which specifically includes the hippocampus and the neocortex network, both of which are involved in planning, imagining and even helping to remember memories from childhood or any other event. . Researchers at the UCL department decided to mimic the behavior of these networks in an AI model by feeding it data from over 10,000 images of children playing in the park, scenes from the classroom, people in the kitchen and more.
The AI model was fed all this information to train it as the brain’s neocortex. The result of these exercises was an artificial intelligence model that was able to mix images and create its own situations with the help of the data fed into it. This shows that the AI is absolutely capable of picking up anything that is fed to these neural models.
The human brain has been of interest to the medical fraternity for many years, and it is possible that AI could help them understand these mysteries and also help them solve major health problems that science has been unable to discover.
