The Realme C55 smartphone was launched in India on Tuesday, becoming one of the first Android phones to do its best to emulate the iPhone’s Dynamic Island notch feature. Realme is calling it Minicapsule with limited features compatible for now but is open to adding more options for users.

Realme C series phones are focused on the budget segment and this 4G device is no different. But as we have seen in the last few years, budget phones have now crossed the usual price range and manage to offer you some extra features that make the deal.

Realme C55 Price in India

The Realme C55 price in India starts at Rs 10,999 for the base 4GB + 64GB variant. You also have the 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB models, launched at Rs 11,999 and Rs 13,999 respectively. Realme C55 will go on sale in India from March 28 through various platforms.

Realme C55 specifications

The Realme C55 has a 6.72-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G88 chipset with 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM options. The storage versions are 64 GB and 128 GB, which can be further expanded. Realme says it has added a sunburst finish to the rear panel, which is essentially a plastic body. The phone weighs less than 190 grams.

The phone runs on the Realme UI 4.0 version, which is based on the Android 13 operating system. The mini-capsule is an interesting addition in this price range and it shows the battery charge status in an expanded format with the notch.

On the imaging front, it has a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. There is an 8-megapixel shooter on the front of the phone. You can use two 4G SIM cards in the phone (no 5G support), and the 5000mAh battery lets you charge at 33W with the included charger.
