Rivian debuts its inaugural Charging Outpost, an eco-friendly alternative to traditional gas stations near Yosemite.

Rivian has recently unveiled its inaugural EV charging rest stop located just 24 miles from Yosemite National Park. The facility boasts amenities such as bathrooms, a lounge equipped with a small library, a water refill station, complimentary coffee, and a “make your own” trail mix station (for a fee). While only Rivian owners will have access to the five DC fast chargers at the Rivian Yosemite Charging Outpost, all visitors are welcome to enjoy the other offerings. Rivian Electric Vehicle Owners to Have Access to Tesla Superchargers in 2024

Rivian is set to join the likes of GM and Ford in being granted access to Tesla’s Supercharger network. The company plans to provide an adapter to R1T and R1S owners, enabling them to connect their electric vehicles to Supercharger stations from spring 2022. Additionally, Rivian will make use of the North American Charging Standard (NACS) charge ports as standard in R1 vehicles from 2025, as well as in the forthcoming R2 platform.
