Benchmark Test Confirms iPhone 15 Pro Max Is The Most Powerful Smartphone

The iPhone 15 Pro Max has the best mobile hardware under the hood. The new A17 Pro chipset, which uses the premium iPhone 15 series model, has a lot of upgrades that surpass the capabilities of the A16 Bionic, which itself is quite powerful. But now we have data that proves the prowess of Apple’s A17 Pro chip, which easily matches the likes of the company’s M-series Mac silicon.

The A17 Pro powered by the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max has recently gone through the AnTuTu benchmark tests, and the results were surprisingly higher. The A17 Pro scored 1,641,883 points, bested only by the Apple M1 chip released in MacBooks and iPads.

In fact, last year’s A16 Bionic scored 1,474,011 points in the same benchmark test, and the only Android device close to those numbers was the Red Magic 8 Pro+, which scored 1,632,859 points. All these numbers show that the new A17 Pro chip is the most powerful Phone hardware on the market right now.

Apple already uses TSMC’s 3nm process to manufacture the A17 Pro chip, which seems to boost its performance. However, Qualcomm could definitely try to change that story later this year when it is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which could also be made on a 3nm process.

Apple talked about a dramatic performance improvement with the A17 Pro chipset compared to the A16 Bionic, and these test results back up those claims. The company offers the A16 Bionic chip in the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models, and it’s likely that the A17 Pro will trickle down to the vanilla variants of the iPhone 16 series next year.

Benchmarks are not the best way to judge the performance of any hardware, but these numbers give us an idea of the power of the new iPhone Pro Max model.
