Akash Ambani Announces Jio’s Rapid Deployment of 5G Technology
According to Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash Ambani, Jio has initiated the most rapid implementation of 5G technology ever seen globally, with a new 5G cell being deployed every 10 seconds.
Ambani said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has brought India and Indians together and motivated the entire nation, “We promise you that with the help of technology we will build a statue of digital unity.”
Jio has installed more than 10,000,000 5G cells in all 22 districts of India, he said while speaking at the inaugural Mobile India Congress here.

“I am humbled to share that Jio alone has brought 85 percent of the country’s overall 5G capacity… and provided one of the fastest 5G internet speeds in the world,” he said.
Additionally, the 5G version of Jio will get a 100 percent in-house 5G stack designed, developed and manufactured entirely by Indian talent, he added.
Ambani promised that the power of technology will be used to “build a statue of digital unity”, adding that this too is the highest in terms of his aspiration and achievement.
“Through technology and connectivity, we will connect and inspire 1.4 billion Indians with one dream to make our beloved motherland Bharat the most prosperous, technologically advanced, inclusive…” he said.
