X by Elon Musk Introduces Subscription Plans with Prices and Benefits

Yesterday, X (previously known as Twitter) introduced two additional subscription levels to its paid platform, called X Premium subscription. The social media platform, owned by Elon Musk, now offers a Basic, Premium, and Premium Plus tier, catering to users who desire features like post editing, longer posts, and background video playback. Each tier provides specific benefits, with the highest-priced plan, Premium Plus, granting access to all features, eliminating ads, and offering the “greatest enhancement for your replies.” Let’s delve into the details of each tier, their respective prices, and the features they provide.

The official X account for the Premium service posted about the new tiers yesterday, saying: “Introducing Premium: no ads in the For You or Followed section, the largest increase in replies (compared to other Premium tiers or non-verified users), access to our full suite of creator tools. Now available online.” ” It added: “We’re also launching a new Basic tier for $3/month (when you sign up via the Web) that gives you access to key Premium features”.

X’s new subscription levels: Price and benefits

Starting at the Basic level, it is the most affordable subscription plan offered by X. It starts at $3 per month (Rs. 243.75 per month, Rs. 2590 per year in India). This offers basic premium features but no verification badge. It also doesn’t include Creator Center features.

It offers all but two Enhanced Experience features. They include text editing, longer message, undo messages, post longer videos, most popular article, reader (reading longer threads without interruptions), background video playback, video download, and a small reply booster.

For verification and security, users at this level get two-step SMS verification and encrypted direct messages. Moreover, it also unlocks all customization features including app icons, bookmark folders, navigation, theme customization, highlight tab (highlight your profile’s best posts in a separate tab), hide your likes, and hide your subscriptions.

The following is the current Premium subscription level. It costs $8 per month (in India it costs Rs. 650 per month or Rs. 6800 per year). Users who subscribe to this will unlock Creator Hub features and a blue check mark.

In addition to all of the Basic features, users get increased response confirmation, Creator Hub features that include Post Earnings (X Revenue Sharing), Creator Subscriptions, X Pro (Web Only), Media Studio (Web Only), and Analytics. (web only). It also opens a checkmark and confirmation.
