Say Goodbye to Buffering: YouTube Benefit Now Available for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge Users!

Both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome users will soon have the opportunity to enjoy a new feature that allows them to effortlessly capture frames from YouTube videos. This exciting capability permits users to take screenshots in PNG format at the video’s original resolution, thanks to YouTube’s recent inclusion of the “copy video frame” option. Google has gone a step further by introducing the “save frame” feature, ensuring that users can preserve specific frames from YouTube movies without sacrificing the original quality. These functionalities have also been incorporated into the Microsoft Edge Canary build.

Chrome expert Leopeva64 shared the exciting news on X, noting: “The new option to SAVE frames from YouTube videos already works in Edge Canary; the Chrome developers added this new entry a few days ago.”

Recent Chrome releases have facilitated this seamless integration, offering users the convenience of accurately capturing video frames in PNG format. To further improve the user experience, Chrome developers are actively working on an upcoming feature that will allow users to search for video frames (using a specific search service).

YouTube’s AI Chatbot

At the same time, YouTube dares to do artificial intelligence by developing a new chatbot. This AI-powered chatbot aims to allow users to ask questions about the videos they are watching, get recommendations for similar content, and more, without interrupting the playback process. By seamlessly providing relevant information throughout the YouTube viewing experience, this conversational AI technology aims to increase user engagement.

Google has launched two experiments that combine generative artificial intelligence with the YouTube viewing experience. The company clarified on the support site: “Due to the limited scope of these tests, you may not notice them immediately.” This highlights Google’s continued commitment to integrating AI-based features into the platform, promising exciting developments for users in the near future.
