Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has unveiled ColorOS 14, which includes the Pantanal cross-platform smart system and the AndesGPT language model. Oppo emphasized the improved features of ColorOS 14, utilizing Pantanal to provide a wide range of services such as smart travel options within China and an international travel tool.

AndesGPT, which uses Breeno, an intelligent assistant developed by Oppo itself, has experienced significant updates. The sophisticated assistant now skillfully handles more than 400 frequently used system settings and engages users in a more natural and seamless conversation. In addition, Breeno, controlled by AndesGPT, now excels in AI content creation, schedule management, and other intuitive tasks.

AndesGPT was revealed

Oppo refined the foundation of AndesGPT with three key technical features: dialogue enhancement, personalization and collaboration between cloud devices. The core features of the model include knowledge, memory, tools and creative content creation.

Powered by generative AI technology, Pantanal provides a better understanding of user intent and context, enabling smarter combinations of ubiquitous services and fostering intuitive user interactions.

Oppo highlighted its commitment to perfecting the integration of software, hardware and services, working with 320,000 developers and 750,000 creators.

In a parallel development, South Korean Samsung has announced its own generative AI mode – Samsung Gauss. This innovative system, consisting of Samsung Gauss Language, Samsung Gauss Code and Samsung Gauss Image, is currently improving employee productivity and is slated to be expanded to multiple Samsung product applications, promising new User Experiences in the near future.
