IndiGo Makes Booking Easier with AI Chatbot – Say Goodbye to Workload Stress!

IndiGo announced on Monday that it has implemented an AI chatbot to alleviate the workload of customer service agents and streamline the booking process through natural language conversations. The airline stated that the AI bot, equipped with an impressive 1.7 trillion parameters, can effortlessly address a wide array of frequently asked questions.

In the release, Indigo also said its data scientists studied Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) and programmed the bot using extensive rapid engineering to mimic human behavior, respond to emotions and even add humor to interactions.

“Early results from the soft launch show a significant 75 percent reduction in customer service workload, demonstrating the effectiveness and efficiency of the bot.

“Furthermore, 6Eskai makes the booking process extremely simple by using natural language conversations to seamlessly guide our customers through the entire booking process,” the release states.

India’s domestic air passenger traffic forecast to reach 155 million in FY24: Report

According to a report released on Monday, India’s domestic air passenger traffic is forecast to be around 155 million in the current financial year, while the number of aircraft grounded by domestic airlines is expected to be around 200.

According to aviation consulting company CAPA India, international air passenger traffic is estimated to be around 70 million in the year ending March 2024.

“In 2024, domestic air traffic has remained above 2020 levels every month so far, although the strength of the recovery has waned over the last couple of months.

“As of May 2023, international traffic has remained largely in line with 2020, but is expected to advance during the rest of the year,” it said.

In its March report, CAPA India estimates domestic air passenger traffic at over 160 million and international air passenger traffic at 72-75 million.

Overall industry profitability is expected to be largely in line with initial guidance of a loss of $1.6 billion to $1.8 billion, with full-service carriers expected to account for $1.4 billion to $1.5 billion and low-cost carriers, the report said. 200-300 million dollars.

“Although FY2024 will be operationally very challenging due to Pratt & Whitney engine issues, IndiGo is expected to post a record profit of $500 million and its cash balances to grow by $1.2 billion,” the report said.

At the end of March 2024, airlines are predicted to have 588 planes in use.

The report stated that nearly 200 planes are expected to remain at the airport by March 31, 2024, and more than 90 of them are IndiGo aircraft.

Air India is projected to have 25-30 grounded aircraft, while SpiceJet has about 27 grounded aircraft, it said.

Currently, there are 161-166 aircraft of IndiGo, Air India, Go First and SpiceJet in the country.

“The number of registered fleet is expected to be almost 790 aircraft at the end of 2024, an increase of about 100 during the year, of which the Air India Group’s share is 60,” the report states.
