Apple's official case for the Vision Pro could be made out of woven fabric, just like the FineWoven cases that it makes for iPhones. Here are the details.News

Leaked Official Cover of Apple Vision Pro Revealed

As we approach the release of the Apple Vision Pro in early 2023, and possibly even next month in January or early February, according to industry experts, new alleged details about the “space computer” are emerging. The latest comes in the form of a new accessory that Apple may have available when the device launches.

As seen in an Apple patent spotted by PatentlyApple via MacRumors , this could be Apple’s first-party accessory to come with the Vision Pro headset when it launches. What does it do, you ask? First, it looks like a patent-based suit.

In the patent application, we can see the cover from several angles. It looks like it could fit on the device’s headband, and the images suggest it could be made of a woven material, just like Apple’s FineWoven cases for iPhones. However, this initial look suggests that it would only cover the front glass elements of the headset and not the entire device.

Another significant detail visible in the pictures is the drawbar arrangement. It’s probably there so users can easily remove the cover from the headset.

That being said, it will be really interesting to see what kind of first and third party accessories we see for the Vision Pro when it launches next year. We already know that Apple is possibly working on the internals of the lens in collaboration with Zeiss. They allow users with prescription glasses to easily use a mixed reality headset without having to worry about not being able to see or somehow putting the headset over their glasses or contact lenses.

Apple devices tend to be well supported, and considering this is Apple’s first new product line in nearly a decade, we might see some fun accessories.
