Want to compose a poem Here is a Google tool that can help you
Composing a poem is not easy, especially if you don’t have the creative skills to write one. Now Google has designed a tool that will help you create a line in the style of America’s most famous poets.
Meet “Verse by Verse” – an artificial intelligence (AI) -based tool that will help users write a poem verse by verse. Google claims that Verse by Verse “is a creative aid, an inspiration, not a replacement.”
Users who wish to compose a poem will first need to select the poets whose style they wish to reproduce. They can select up to three poets from the list which includes Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman, Edgar Allen Poe, HW Longfellow and others.
Once they have selected their style and chosen the structure of their poem, the tool will ask users to compose their first verse. It will then come up with more verses based on various factors including the verse users wrote, the chosen poet, and the structure of the selected poem, among others. Google says it has trained its AI system to provide suggestions in each poet’s style to act as your muses while you compose your own poem.
Once you have selected the verse suggested by Google, it will suggest others. However, the tool does not lock suggestions. Users will be able to replace the tool’s suggestions with their own verse and edit the suggestions to make them more personal. Once users are happy with their poems, they can give it a title and finalize it. We offer you two options: copy the text itself or download the poem as an image. Either way, you can easily save the poem and share it with others, wrote Dave Uthus, software engineer at Google AI in a blog post.
Verse by Verse’s suggestions are not the original lines of the verse the poets wrote, but the novel rather than generated to sound like lines of the verse the poets could have written, he added.
So, it’s time to get creative.
