Apple iPhone 15 May Feature Increased Battery Capacity and Additional Color Options
According to reports, Apple is said to be preparing for the release of four new iPhones in September, namely the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Prior to the official announcement, a recent leak has disclosed that the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15, and iPhone 15 Plus will come in fresh color choices, and the entire iPhone 15 series will boast noticeably larger batteries.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, a Weibo user has shared information about the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and announced that it will be available in a fresh color option called “crimson”.
The report mentions that this new shade could be slightly lighter than the Deep Purple color offered on the iPhone 14 Pro, but still maintains a deep and rich look.
According to the report, the upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus may get a new green color option. This finish would be similar to the green versions of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11. The vanilla model was previously thought to be pink and light blue.
The report also includes self-created renders of the vanilla iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in new shades of green, light blue, and red. Another report also claims that the iPhone 15 will have an 18 percent larger battery, the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro will have a 14 percent larger battery, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a 12 percent larger battery.
Reports also suggest that the iPhone Pro models will have a titanium frame. According to a previous leak, the estimated average selling price of the iPhone 15 series is around $925 (roughly Rs. 76,300). The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are expected to run on the current A16 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could utilize the more advanced A17 Bionic SoC.
Additionally, this year’s iPhone models are rumored to bring 48-megapixel camera units for improved photography capabilities, as well as a USB Type-C port for charging.
