Samsung Electronics, the renowned South Korean tech company, is gearing up to hold its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul today at 4:30 p.m. IST in India. This event will witness the unveiling of a variety of exciting new products from the smartphone manufacturer, such as the cutting-edge foldable smartphones, namely the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. Additionally, Samsung will also introduce the new Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Watch 6 during this event.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 expected price
Although Samsung has not officially revealed the price and specifications of the new foldable, leaks suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will come with three storage options: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. Z Fold 5’s color options are black, blue and cream. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to have two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. It is available in cream, graphite, lavender and aqua green.
Tipster Paras Guglani estimates the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 to start at around Rs 95,000 in India, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to start at Rs 1,43,500 in the country. According to 91Mobiles, the new foldable smartphones will go on sale in India from August 14. Customers can pre-book on Samsung’s website, Amazon, Flipkart and Samsung’s exclusive retail stores and customers can pre-book for benefits worth Rs. 5000. The pre-orders for these phones will start on July 26, right after their official launch.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event 2023: What to expect
Both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are expected to get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rumored to have a 7.6-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED main display and a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED cover display. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is said to have a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED main panel and a 3.4-inch external display.
As for the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rumored to have a triple rear camera with a 50MP primary sensor, a 5MP under-display camera for selfies, and a 10MP front-facing camera.
In addition, Samsung is expected to announce three new tablets – Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. These tablets can be available in both Wi-Fi only and LTE versions. In addition, the Galaxy Watch 6 series may have two main versions – the sporty Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
