Ahead of the launch, prices for OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R have been hinted.
The OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R are set to launch in India on January 23. With launch just days away, new leaks have surfaced regarding US pricing for both of the latest flagships. The OnePlus 12, like the outgoing OnePlus 11, is expected to be the more expensive of the two devices, while the OnePlus 12R’s price tag is more affordable.
These leaks come from German publication TechPlus. According to the report, the OnePlus 12 will start at $799 (roughly Rs. 66,000) in the US for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The OnePlus 12R, on the other hand, will cost users $499 (roughly Rs. 35,000) for the base 8GB + 128GB model. The 16GB + 256GB model could be priced at $599 (roughly Rs. 50,000).
If this price turns out to be correct, the OnePlus 12 will be $100 more expensive than the OnePlus 11, putting it in the same price range as the Pixel 8, iPhone 15 and other flagship phones, and would certainly mean more competition for the BBK-owned brand in the US.
OnePlus 12, 12R specifications
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a 6.82-inch QHD+ (1440 x 3168) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of optics, it has a Hasselblad-tuned triple camera with a wide, ultra-wide and telephoto camera. The device also comes with a large 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging.
As for the OnePlus 12R, it will be powered by last year’s flagship system that powers the OnePlus 11 – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It should come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM as standard, and sport a 6.7-inch 120 Hz OLED panel.
