Apple Inaugurates Bengaluru Office with 1,200 Employees, Fully Powered by Renewable Energy
Apple has opened a new office in India as it aims to support its growing operations in the Indian market. Located on Minsk Square, the office is designed for up to 1,200 employees, with 15 floors and spaces for laboratories, collaboration and well-being.
In addition, Apple’s new office also runs on 100 percent renewable energy, in line with its goal to have all of its facilities run on renewable energy. The facility is built with local materials such as stone, wood, fabric, and the iPhone maker has even sourced native plants for decoration.
At its new Bengaluru office, Apple employees work across multiple verticals, including software, hardware, services, IS&T, operations, customer support and others. Notably, Apple already has a presence in other Indian cities, including Mumbai, Hyderabad and Gurugram.
It is also worth mentioning that Apple currently employs nearly 3,000 people in India and its cooperation with suppliers also supports hundreds of thousands of jobs in the country. This latest endeavor will only help create more opportunities for Indian citizens. Moreover, by setting up new Apple Stores namely Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in New Delhi, Apple has also been actively recruiting for various roles like geniuses, creatives, experts and more. This initiative will contribute to the creation of numerous employment opportunities.
