Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max Prices Expected to Increase Significantly

According to reports, Apple, the tech giant headquartered in Cupertino, is said to be considering a price hike for its iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. This move is aimed at boosting revenue as smartphone sales are anticipated to decline.

According to a Bloomberg report, despite the predicted decline in the smartphone market, Apple plans to increase its overall revenue by raising the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

According to previous rumors, Apple may raise the prices of its upcoming Pro models. In May, it was speculated that features exclusive to Pro models, such as Dynamic Island and a 48-megapixel camera, could lead Apple to differentiate its pricing from non-Pro devices this year.

Jeff Pu, a technology analyst at the Hong Kong investment company Haitong International Securities, also predicted an increase in prices in March. The iPhone 14 Pro and ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max start at $999 and $1,099, respectively, meaning any price increase would push both high-end iPhone models north of $1,000 for the first time, MacRumors reports.

The iPhone 15‌ series is expected to be announced in September, but supplies for the Pro models may be limited. All four devices are rumored to have a USB-C port, Dynamic Island and a slightly more curved frame. Several additional features and changes are expected for the Pro models.

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple has asked suppliers to produce about 85 million iPhone 15 units this year, which is the same as last year.

Another report recently revealed that the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be the first iPhones to feature Wi-Fi 6E support, while the regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will likely retain standard Wi-Fi 6.

According to MacRumors, Wi-Fi 6E enables a faster and more reliable wireless connection in iPhone 15 Pro models. Wi-Fi 6 operates on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, while Wi-Fi 6E also operates on the 6GHz band to increase bandwidth. It offers faster wireless speeds, lower latency and less signal interference as long as a supported device is connected to a Wi-Fi 6E router.
