Apple-Made Sneakers Selling for an Astonishing Rs 42 Lakh

Apple, a renowned global tech giant, previously designed a limited edition line of sneakers; however, these distinctive shoes were never made available for purchase by the general public. Now, after a considerable period of time, collectors have a rare chance to acquire these exceptionally rare footwear items.

These sneakers were made exclusively for Apple employees and were never sold to the public. These rare shoes were a special giveaway at a national sales conference in the mid-90s. Now, according to a report, Sotheby’s will auction off these limited edition sneakers to those interested.

“These extremely rare sneakers customized for Apple employees were a one-off giveaway at a national sales conference in the mid-90s. Over 22,000 Apple consumers purchased apparel and accessories from the brand in 1985, a testament to the audience’s dedication across categories. For products outside of Apple’s expertise, they would partner with leading brands such as Lamy, Honda, and Braun to apply the iconic Apple- brand to various white label products,” Sotheby’s mentioned on its website.

“The main body is predominantly white, with an old-school rainbow Apple logo – both on the tongue and on the side – as a standout detail. Having never made it to the general public, this sneaker is one of the most obscure in existence and highly sought after on the resale market,” it added.

The Cupertino-based tech giant didn’t actually make these sneakers; they collaborated with Omega Sports for a special collection. At the time, Apple lent its brand name to a few companies for special editions, including Honda and Braun.

Featuring the Apple logo, these sneakers feature a predominantly white upper with an old-school rainbow Apple logo on the tongue and side. They were never released to the general public, making them extremely rare and highly sought after on the resale market.

Considering the high prices that people have paid for Apple products in the past, such as the first generation iPhone that sold for Rs 63,000, these sneakers have been listed at a starting price of $50,000 (roughly Rs 42,000). The report also suggested that the final Offer Price could be even higher.
