Boost Your Reach with Elon Musk’s X Posts!
X, which is now owned by Elon Musk, is facing challenges with its advertising revenue as several prominent advertisers, including Apple, IBM, and Comcast, have withdrawn their ads from the platform. However, despite this setback, the platform remains committed to enhancing user experience by introducing new features. In a recent announcement by Musk, X is offering Premium subscribers an additional method to expand their reach on the platform, granting them strategic control. Musk disclosed that by adding posts to the Highlights tab, which was introduced in August, users will be able to reach a larger audience.
Musk announced the new feature in an X post, saying, “Posts about X added to the Highlights tab will get a wider reach.” At the same time, Musk warned users against abusing the feature for farm engagement. “Unless you abuse the feature, in which case it will have no effect. Use highlights as intended to show your most important content. This tab is especially useful for driving responses,” he added.

This new feature allows Premium users and content creators to be more selective about the posts they want to reach more than usual. These could be brand collaborations, big announcements, or just a quality post or thread. Previously, while paid subscribers to X were promised a higher engagement bonus compared to non-subscribers, the result was algorithmic and users had no control over what could reach a certain impression margin.
According to Musk, this feature could be used to promote responses that don’t usually appear on the default tab on X’s homepage and have less engagement and reach than a standalone post. But sometimes the answers can add important context and information, or prevent the spread of misinformation. This new feature allows users to get rewarded for the effort they put into such answers.
In a separate message, Musk also announced that X will donate revenue from ads and subscriptions related to the Israel-Hamas conflict. He said: “X Corp donates all revenue from ads and subscriptions related to the war in Gaza to Israeli hospitals and the Red Cross/Gaza”.
