Cases for Apple iPhone 14 Not Compatible with iPhone 15
Apple’s new iPhone 15 series is now available for pre-order and will then be available on September 22 – more and more people are considering buying new accessories for their expensive devices. However, it is important to remember when buying cases for the iPhone 15 series – the iPhone 14 series case does not fit the iPhone 15 series.
Despite having the same screen size and shape on similar models like the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15, these newer models are not compatible with the iPhone 14 Pro or the regular iPhone 14.
As reported by 9to5Mac, this incompatibility is due to the difference in dimensions between the iPhone 15 series and the iPhone 14 series. It’s important to note that Apple has slightly curved the edges of the bezel this time around, making them rounder and less sharp compared to the last few iPhone generations.
In addition, other features such as the new “function button” in the new iPhone Pro models are also another factor contributing to the differences in the cases. So if you currently own an iPhone 14 series phone and plan to upgrade to the iPhone 15 model, remember that you’ll also need to invest in new cases.
Notably, Apple has also introduced a new range of cases featuring their innovative ‘FineWoven’ technology. This material replaces leather, helping the company reduce its carbon footprint and achieve carbon neutrality.
Apart from the FineWoven cases, which retail at Rs 5,900 for both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models, Apple continues to offer reliable silicone cases at Rs 4,900 and its Clear case, also priced at Rs 4,900. It’s worth noting that all of these cases support MagSafe.
