Last year, Apple launched a new feature on its online store called “Shop with a Specialist over Video,” allowing customers to connect with an Apple Specialist via one-way video when buying certain products like the iPhone. This feature has now been expanded to the Apple Store app on iOS.
Improved shopping experience
The latest version of the Apple Store app for iOS, version 5.24, which was released on Thursday, brings a “Shop with an expert via video” feature, according to the release notes. This feature allows customers to receive support during the purchase process through videos, with transcription available for those who need them.
The feature, described by Apple as a “live shopping experience,” is currently only available to customers in the United States.
Convenient access to expert help
Apple today launched “Shop with a Specialist over Video,” a new live shopping experience available on apple.com for customers in the United States. This feature allows customers to connect with a member of the retail sales team via secure one-way video sessions while purchasing an iPhone. Through this service, customers can explore the latest models, discover new features, and learn about various offers such as Apple Trade-In, carrier offers, switching to iOS, and financing options.
Customers who may not find a session available or wish to access the feature after hours can contact an expert via phone or chat support available 24 hours a day.
