Elon Musk’s X Introduces Job Posting Platform to Compete With LinkedIn and Indeed
Elon Musk’s X has now launched the beta version of XHiring – a new platform for “validated organisations” to post job adverts for various roles and “organically” reach suitable candidates.
Ever since Elon Musk bought X (formerly Twitter), its users have seen their fair share of changes – both positive and negative. More recently, the X app has sought to include features such as live streaming and now the XHiring platform, which is set to compete with the likes of LinkedIn, Indeed and Monster. Musk has previously mentioned his desire to build the X as an “app for everything.” And this move seems to be another step in that direction.

“Open early access to X Hiring Beta – exclusively for verified organizations,” X posted. It further added that these empowered organizations will be able to showcase their “most critical roles and organically reach millions of relevant candidates.”
In particular, the platform is currently in beta, and deployment is already underway. On its landing page, X says: “Sign up for early access to X Hiring, currently available to verified organizations. If you’re eligible, we’ll enable hiring features on your account.”
As for how this feature works, the images shared by XHiring show an X account with jobs listed on its profile. This refers to the possibility of coming across job postings when visiting the account profiles of companies participating in the XHiring program.
Elon Musk first hinted at the arrival of this feature in May of this year. One user had suggested that Twitter’s portfolio could include a dating app called “Twinder,” to which Musk replied, “Interesting idea, maybe jobs too.”
