Elon Musk’s X Platform to Offer Job Search Feature
X (formerly Twitter) will soon introduce a job search feature that will allow users to find jobs directly on the platform.
When @xDaily — the account that covers X news — posted that Elon Musk’s AI company has started posting job ads to its page via @XHiring.
However, this is currently only visible online and in the US.
When a user asked “but how do we know who’s hiring?”, Chris Bakke, former CEO of Laskien, a job search platform acquired by Twitter in May, replied: “Job search, but more importantly, finding qualified opportunities – both coming soon.”
Last month, app researcher Nima Owji had posted a screenshot of the job listing feature, revealing that the company describes the feature as “Twitter Hiring” and is a “free” feature “for verified organizations to post jobs on your company profile and attract top talent to your open positions.”
In addition, certified organizations can add up to five jobs to their profiles.
Musk had hinted about this feature in May this year. After a user suggested the dating app “Twinder,” Musk said, “Interesting idea, maybe some jobs.”
X’s first acquisition after Musk took over was Laskie. So it’s possible that the acquisition helped the platform create and release the feature.
Musk said on Sunday that there were currently no major “social networks” but he was committed to creating “at least one”.
“The sad truth is that there are currently no major ‘social networks’.” “We may fail as many have predicted, but we will do our best to have at least one,” he tweeted.
