Everything You Need to Know About Apple’s Scary Fast Event: Meaning and Expected Launches

Apple has already hosted two major events in 2023, where they revealed their latest software advancements, the 15-inch MacBook Air, and Vision Pro at the WWDC in June. Additionally, the new iPhone 15 series and Apple Watches were unveiled at the Wonderlust event on September 12. Although these were the anticipated events for the year, Apple has surprised everyone by announcing the Scary Fast event scheduled for October 30. Now, the question arises: what can we anticipate from Apple during their third significant event of the year?

Apple Scary Fast Event: What Does It Mean?

After September’s Wonderlust event, Scary Fast is the last major Apple event of the year. The name perhaps refers to the new and powerful M3 chips expected to debut at the event. They are advertised as offering “frighteningly fast” performance! Also, Halloween is coming up, it is celebrated on October 31st, and Apple may well be referring to this festival as its event is supposed to be held just a day before.

Apple Scary Fast Event: When is it happening?

Apple has announced that the Scary Fast event will take place on October 30 at 5:00 PM PT/5:30 AM IST, just a day before Halloween. In previous years, Apple has preferred to release its Mac computers simply through a press release rather than a full-scale event. However, that is not the case this year, as the event will take place only in virtual mode and will be broadcast live on Apple’s website and on its YouTube channel.

Apple Scary Fast event: what to expect

Apple is expected to debut its new M3 chip at the Scary Fast event. It is rumored to be based on a 3nm manufacturing process and could be introduced in three variants – M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max. Macs are also expected to be in the spotlight, with 3 new products expected. Apple could introduce a new 24-inch iMac as well as new MacBook Pros, all with the new Apple M3 chip.

Other Apple accessories are also expected to get an upgrade to USB Type-C as Apple has finally replaced its own Lightning port on iPhones.
