Experience the Future of Browsing: Let AI Sort Your Chrome Tabs!
Google Chrome has recently been enjoying numerous new features. In celebration of its 15th anniversary, Google has given Chrome a makeover with the ‘Material You’ theme, which includes updated icons, fresh color schemes, and a completely revamped Chrome Web Store. Additionally, a new feature has been introduced that allows users to view the memory usage of individual tabs. Now, it is rumored that Google is preparing to incorporate a significant artificial intelligence (AI) feature into Chrome, enabling users to efficiently organize their tabs.
Know all about this latest AI powerhouse that is likely coming to Google Chrome.
Google Chrome AI feature
In an X post (via Android Police), user @Leopeva64 posted screenshots of a new section in Google Chrome called “Advanced” that is currently under development. However, the URL in the Settings tab reveals that Google may indeed be using AI. it says “chrome://settings/ai”. This new section would reportedly include an AI tool that would help users organize their tabs. Using machine learning, it would be able to detect when a certain number of tabs have been opened and potentially sort them automatically for you. This feature is said to appear under “Organize Tabs” in Chrome.
Another feature currently in the works is called Autofill Helper. Although what this feature does is still unclear, X-user revealed that Google originally called this feature Compose. However, it does reveal that enabling this feature may require users to restart their browsers. Both of these AI settings are part of Google’s AI work.
Google Chrome memory consumption
One feature that has already arrived in Chrome is memory usage. Although Google had already added a Memory Saver option earlier this year, Chrome now allows users to see the memory consumption of each tab when they hover over it. In addition to the domain and website name, Chrome tells you how much memory the tab is using as “Memory usage: XX MB”.
Google Chrome on iPhone
In recent weeks, Google has updated the features of the iOS version of the Chrome app, such as artificial intelligence translations, addresses on maps, the ability to create calendar events and much more. It has also added an option to allow users to move the address bar to the bottom.
