Google Chrome AI update introduces three major advantages: Help Me Write, Tab Organizer, and additional features.
Google Chrome is receiving an upgrade in artificial intelligence, introducing new experimental features to enhance productivity in various work-life tasks. Over the past few years, Google has been exploring AI technology, particularly evident in its Pixel smartphones. Additionally, it recently introduced Gemini, a collection of Large Language Models (LLMs) to rival OpenAI’s GPT. The tech giant, headquartered in California, has been diligently integrating AI technology into its widely-used browser, Google Chrome. Now, the AI initiative is gaining momentum as the company releases a significant update for Google Chrome, incorporating experimental AI features. Google Chrome AI update
Google announced in a blog post that Chrome will get three new experimental AI features when Chrome (M121) is released today. The purpose of these features is to make browsing easier and more efficient. Mac and Windows PC users in the US can take advantage of these AI features starting today. To access it, sign into Chrome, select “Settings” from the three-dot menu, go to the “Experimental AI” page, and voila!
1. Tab organizer
Tab Organizer is an AI tool that can help users organize their tabs. Using machine learning, it detects when a certain number of tabs have been opened and can automatically sort them for you. You can access it by right-clicking on a tab and clicking “Arrange Related Tabs”. The tab organizer feature then works its magic and sorts the tabs into groups. It even suggests names and emojis for your groups for easy access.
2. AI themes
With the update, Google has also introduced the ability to create custom themes using generative AI in Chrome. This feature allows users to create custom themes based on a chosen topic, mood, visual style and color, all within Chrome. It can be accessed through the Customize Chrome option in the side panel. Select Change Theme and then Create Theme with AI. All you have to do is choose a background theme, style the image with options like Style and Mood, and select the color shade you want.
3. Help me write
The Help Me Write feature is also coming to Chrome. The feature is designed to help users create texts based on their prompts, saving a huge amount of time and effort when creating content manually. It has a unique approach because it not only relies on user prompts, but also analyzes the content of the page to provide more relevant writing assistance. You can access it by right-clicking on a text box and selecting Help me write. Let AI do its magic now!
