Google Keep Enhances Formatting Options – Good News!
Google Keep, a component of the G-suite for over a decade, has undergone significant updates to enhance user-friendliness and performance. This upgrade not only aims to boost the app’s popularity but also positions it as a strong competitor against rival applications. Notably, the integration of new text formatting features adds practicality to the app.
About the text formatting features of Google Keep
According to a report by 9To5Google, Google Keep will now allow users to bold, italicize, and underline text in new user-created notes. These features will be available in the app gradually. These features may not seem like much, but they are critical to effective note-taking. How do you know when features arrive? Some users may get a prompt saying “New features are here: We recently added new features to Keep. You can use them by updating your account.”
The new feature allows users to customize their notes in their own way and restore your text to its default settings. Then click the “Clear Formatting” button at the bottom of the toolbar. The new text formatting features were first reported by Mishaal Rahman via an X post, where he said, “Google Keep is rolling out text formatting support TIP! I just updated the Google Keep Android app to version 5.23.322.05 and got the feature. Looks like the feature is rolling out slowly some users have, please let me know if you have text formatting enabled!”
When the text formatting feature comes to your smartphone, you’ll see a new underlined “A” icon that gives you quick access to text formatting options, including headings, bold, italics, underline, and strikethrough. Google Keep is expected to continue to maintain its simplicity, but has plans to introduce new advanced features, says The Verge.
