Google launches Imagen 2, a text-to-image generator, for Bard with Gemini Pro expansion.
In December 2023, Google made significant announcements, including the introduction of Gemini Pro, an AI model for Bard. Now, the company is implementing various improvements to its tools. Firstly, they are integrating Imagen 2, a text-to-image generator, into Google Bard and ImageFX. Furthermore, Google is expanding the availability of Gemini Pro, which was initially expected to only be compatible with Bard and Gemini Ultra. According to Google’s Deep Mind blog post, its advanced text-to-image technology, Imagen 2 is coming to Bard and Search Generative Experience (SGE). The tool also gets ImageFX from Google’s experimental platform. The company says the integration “provides an innovative interface that allows users to quickly explore alternative prompts and expand the boundaries of their creativity. With Bardin Imagen 2, users only need to type a detailed prompt to create the type of image they want. Imagen 2 also has the ability to create new content directly to the original image using the painting technique.It is also able to create images outside the original image and extend visual creativity into reality.

With advanced image creation, Google also focuses on the security of image creation tools. The company integrates Bard with SynthID, which provides a watermark for the generated image, as well as the ability to “identify AI-generated content” that works like a digital watermark. In addition, Imagen 2 restricts the creation of content that encourages violent, offensive or sexual content. Google said: “We perform security checks on training data, input prompts, and system-generated output over a generation.”
According to a report by 9To5Google, the company also announced the expansion of Gemini Pro to more than 230 countries and more than 40 languages. It also extends the double check feature in languages other than English.
