Google’s Year in Search Unveils the 10 Hottest Games of 2023
The year 2023 is coming to an end, and during the year several games have appeared on different platforms, such as PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
It’s safe to say that this year has stood out compared to past years and there’s something for everyone to play. RPG fans have The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, while others who enjoy a linear experience have Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
However, the trends have continued to change and people have been looking for many new games. Now that Google’s Year in Search 2023 has been released, we have a clear idea of the most searched games this year.

Hogwarts Legacy is the most searched game. And it goes without saying, but the nostalgic elements combined with a solidly built action RPG made Hogwarts Legacy quite popular at the time of its release and has continued to be so with the Switch release and last gen versions.
Another notable entry is Starfield, which ranks fifth. It’s an Xbox and PC exclusive and is said to be the biggest Xbox Studios exclusive in a long time.
One notable title that is missing, however, is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the PlayStation 5’s flagship release this year. It received critical acclaim upon release and sold very well.
