“Sam and I are shocked and saddened by what the government did today. First of all, thanks to all the amazing people we’ve worked with at OpenAI, our customers, investors, and everyone who’s reached out. We’re also still trying to figure out what happened,” he wrote.
“The outpouring of support has been really nice; thanks, but don’t waste your time worrying. We’ll be fine. Bigger things coming soon,” he added.
The statement was shared in response to Altman’s takedown post. “I loved my time at OpenAI. it was revolutionary for me personally and hopefully a little bit for the world. What I loved most was working with such talented people,” Altman wrote to X.

Fired OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has also started spilling the beans, saying that if he starts leaking secrets, ChatGPT’s board will come after him “for the full value of their shares.”
Altman, who was ousted from the board in the latest X release, “no longer has confidence in his ability to continue to lead OpenAI,” said it has been a strange experience for him in many ways.
