iOS 14.3: Apple’s Latest Software Update for iPhones Brings These Features
Apple has released the iOS 14.3 update with some major features for iPhone and iPad users. The new update brings the highly anticipated Apple ProRAW for iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, support for the Apple Fitness + service, a new privacy section on the App Store and more.
Updates for iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 are now live and available for download by all users around the world. Starting with the new ProRAW format for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, Apple had teased it when launching these iPhones. Apple says that with ProRAW, users will have “more time to adjust color and white balance” because noise reduction and multi-frame exposure adjustments will already be in place. Photos captured in ProRAW format will be approximately 25MB in size.
iOS 14.3 also offers minor updates including the ability to record 25 fps video and mirror front camera for photos on iPhone 6s up to iPhone X models. iPhone users will also find more easy to set custom app icons as it is now possible to run shortcuts from the home screen itself. You do not need to launch the Shortcuts app first. Apple has also added new animated illustrations to the Apple Music app with the latest update.
The latest iOS update finally brings support for Apple Fitness +. Apple’s new subscription service starts at $9.99 per month and $79.99 per year. It is available in some countries including the United States, New Zealand, Ireland, United Kingdom, and Mexico. Another important feature of iOS 14.3 is support for the new AirPods Max headphones. Apple has also added a privacy section in the App Store through which users can review the privacy practices of developers.
