Samsung Galaxy S24 series launch: what we expect to see and price in India
The new Galaxy S24 series promises a lot of new features, both hardware and artificial intelligence additions. The company is likely to have three models again, which include Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Rumors suggest that Samsung will use its Exynos 2400 chipset for the Galaxy S24 and Plus variant, while the Galaxy S24 Ultraz will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in most markets.
We’re expecting up to 16GB of RAM and possibly 1TB of storage in the new phones, depending on what the market has gotten over the past year. Most of the excitement is likely reserved for the cameras in the company’s new AI features.
Samsung did a good job with the cameras in the Galaxy S23 series, especially the Galaxy S23 Ultra, and expectations are high for the upcoming lineup. We’ll likely see a 200MP sensor on the Ultra, while the other two have a 108MP main camera with better low-light and AI editing capabilities.
However, AI may once again take center stage, and we’re eager to see how the company leverages the technology and brings it to its devices for consumers. Its history with Bixby doesn’t fill us with much confidence, but Google has been a proactive partner with the company over the past 24 months on a number of products, and AI could certainly benefit from that association.
In terms of pricing, the Galaxy S24 series may go up as the base model starts at around Rs 70,000 and goes up to Rs 1,10,000 for the Galaxy S24 Ultra in India. Anything lower than this allows the brand to compete aggressively with its competitors.
