Jetpack AI from WordPress to Automate Writing of Blog Posts
Jetpack AI, an AI writing assistant, is being integrated into the editor of the content management system, WordPress. Even for WordPress blogs hosted elsewhere, the Jetpack plugin will still provide access to the tool. Jetpack AI is a generative AI tool that can produce content based on the user’s prompt, including traditional articles, lists, and tables. Additionally, the assistant can adjust the tone of the post to match the user’s desired style, whether it be informative, optimistic, humorous, or sarcastic.
If a user wants to write their own message, they can still ask Jetpack for help. They can either have the tool generate a headline based on what they’ve written, or use it to automatically check their grammar or correct typos. And if they want to include a translation of their article, they can use Jetpack AI to quickly translate it into any of its 12 languages, including Spanish, French, and Korean. According to TechCrunch, Jetpack is available for free to all WordPress.com customers for the first 20 requests as a sort of free trial. After that, users have to pay $10 per month to use the tool.
While Jetpack AI can be especially useful for people who already use WordPress, it’s just one of the more recent AI-powered authoring tools. For example, Microsoft 365 Copilot can create a proposal in Word based on spreadsheet data or change the tone of a written report. Google also recently added artificial intelligence capabilities to its Workspace app, empowering Docs to generate text based on what’s written on the page.
