Mark Gurman reveals upcoming launch of new iPad Pro and MacBook Air without Apple event; Find out what to expect
According to a recent report, Apple is considering forgoing a traditional launch event for its upcoming devices such as iPads and Macs. Instead, the tech giant may opt to unveil the new products on its official website through press releases and promotional videos. Rumors suggest that in the near future, Apple will introduce several new products including the next generation iPad Pro, iPad Air, and updated 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models. Stay tuned for more details on Apple’s plans.
No Apple event for iPad and Mac
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s Power on newsletter, an Apple event to launch the company’s upcoming devices may not be in the works. According to the report, the Cupertino-based tech giant is making “a series of online videos and marketing campaigns” to announce its products.
Apple’s upcoming releases
In the coming months, Apple may introduce new iPad Pro models with an M3 chip and OLED screens, as well as a new Apple Pencil. The company is also believed to introduce a 12.9-inch iPad Air model.
In Macs, we may see two new models: a 13-inch and a 15-inch, both of which could come with the new M3 chipset. All of these revelations could be accomplished through a simple press release. If so, it won’t be the first time the iPhone maker has introduced new products directly on its website instead of at a special Apple event.
In the coming weeks, Gurman predicts that there will be several announcements based on new product launches and the “special version” of the iOS 17.4 update. Therefore, the new Apple device may debut sometime in March or April. In addition, we may also encounter a new version of iPadOS 17.4 and macOS 14.4, which will appear in future iPads and Macs.
Along with iPads and Macs, Apple may also announce a new iPhone color and new shades for iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands. Thus, the iPhone maker could be set to dominate the headlines in the coming weeks thanks to its upcoming unveiling.
