Microsoft CEO Nadella pledges to assist two million Indians in acquiring AI skills.
MUMBAI: Microsoft will provide 2 million Indians with AI skills by 2025, CEO Satya Nadella said on Wednesday, adding that it is imperative that India and the US cooperate on AI norms and regulations.
Vocational skill focuses on training people in 2nd and 3rd level cities and in rural areas and enables inclusive socio-economic development, the company said in a statement.
“I’m hoping that a consensus will emerge and it will really help in some sense the spread of this technology,” Nadella said at a conference in Mumbai, referring to global efforts to set rules and regulate artificial intelligence.
Nadella hoped that the spread of artificial intelligence worldwide would lead to an “equal distribution of economic growth.”
