Microsoft Resolves Issues for Outlook Web App Users
Outlook users in North America can now breathe a sigh of relief as Microsoft has successfully resolved a web access problem. The tech giant took to its official Twitter account, ‘@MSFT365Status’, to announce that they were actively investigating the issue and urged affected customers to check the Service Health Dashboard in the admin centre under EX610644 for further information.
Early Wednesday, it posted: “We have confirmed that the patch deployment is complete and the impact has been mitigated. More information can be found in the management center at EX610644.” Several users reported the issue on Twitter.
While one user wrote: “How long until Microsoft fixes their mobile web app Outlook?”, another said: “I’m coughing and breathing the hell out of my house and have a terrible headache. Between this and the Outlook outages, it’s been a quote day.”
According to online outage monitoring site Downdetector, about 67 percent of people had reported problems using Outlook, 23 percent while using a website, and 10 percent when logging in.
The technology giant had claimed that distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks were the reason behind the service outages earlier this month.
