Microsoft Says Teams App Tech Issue Mainly Fixed
Microsoft Corp said it mainly addressed the technical issue that delayed message delivery on its widely used Teams work messaging app earlier on Wednesday.
The problem, caused by a potential network glitch, affected users in the Americas, the company said.
“We are monitoring the service to ensure a full recovery and will take whatever action is necessary if the impact persists,” added the software giant.
Downdetector, a crash tracking website, showed there were over 800 incidents of people reporting issues with Teams.
Downdetector only tracks outages by gathering status reports from a range of sources, including user submitted errors on their platform. The outage may have affected a larger number of users.
Collaboration apps like Teams, Slack, and Zoom have played a vital role in driving remote work and online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The teams had around 115 million users as of October last year.
