Microsoft Teams Up With AI To Make Video Calls Even Better!

US tech giant Microsoft has announced an AI-based noise reduction feature for Teams calls designed to minimize background noise and lower the volume of other meeting participants.

In addition, Teams also introduces a playful AI feature called “decorate your background” that allows users to enhance their virtual workspace by removing the background or adding decorative elements such as plants.

The features were announced at Microsoft’s annual Ignite conference for developers and IT professionals. The company also introduced new changes and features to several products and services, including Windows, Microsoft 365 and Azure.

Microsoft Teams’ “decorate your background” feature offers users a variety of enhancements to their workspaces. From the beginning of 2024, this feature will be available to Teams Premium users. At the same time, Microsoft has started rolling out the voice isolation feature, which is set to become generally available in early 2024.

In addition, Microsoft has announced the upcoming availability of Teams Immersive Modes, which is expected to be generally available in January 2024. This innovative feature allows Teams users to create avatars to participate in meetings in various 3D environments.

This feature allows users to play virtual games, roast virtual marshmallows, and even toss virtual beanbags for a relaxing virtual experience. The tool needed to create these immersive spaces, Microsoft Mesh, will also be available to everyone in January 2024.

Teams users also have access to other important features, such as customizable emoji reactions and the ability to forward conversations. In addition, the platform allows users to set a group chat profile picture and add a private second phone number for specific callers.

When it comes to hotkeys, Microsoft Teams introduces new hotkeys like Alt+Shift+D to set Do Not Disturb mode. The platform also introduces new IT tools for efficient management of teams.
