Ming-Chi Kuo predicts limited stock for Apple Vision Pro launch, potential quick sell-out
The launch of the Apple Vision Pro is just days away and is set to take place on February 2nd. Ahead of the release, popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has stated that the iPhone maker may not have a large selection of devices on sale day.
Kuo reports that Apple plans to ship around 60,000 to 80,000 units of the Vision Pro microphone for the February 2 launch. Due to limited inventory, Kuo expects the device to “sell out shortly after release.
He adds that this is despite Apple not clearly defining “Vision Pro’s product placement and core applications.” In addition, the price is not cheap.
Kuo says Vision Pro’s “user experience (eg giving users the illusion that they can control the interface at will) and core fans and heavy users should make it an easy sell.” out after publication.”
Pre-orders for the headphones will begin on January 19th at 5:00 AM PST and will be available from Apple’s online store and official Apple Stores. The headset is priced at $3,499 (roughly Rs. 2.9 lakh) and comes with 256GB of storage.
Apple first introduced its Vison Pro “space computer” at its WWDC 2023 event last year, but availability will be limited at launch as it will be available only in the US initially, with other countries coming later.
In addition, Apple has announced that the Vision Pro box contains the headphones themselves, Solo Knit Band, Dual Loop Band, Light Seal, two Light Seal pads, a cover for the front of the device, a polishing cloth, and a USB-C power supply and cable.
