How to Move the Bottom Address Bar on Google Chrome for iPhone
Google Chrome, one of the most widely used browsers worldwide with a user base of over 2 billion, has undergone a significant transformation as it celebrated its 15th anniversary. In an effort to enhance both its functionality and visual appeal, Google has introduced new features and add-ons. Among the most requested features in recent times has been the ability to relocate the address bar to either the top or bottom of the browser. Responding to user demands, Google has now implemented this feature in the mobile version of Google Chrome. However, there are certain limitations that we will delve into further.
Google Chrome update
In recent weeks, Google has updated the features of the iOS version of the Chrome app, such as artificial intelligence translations, addresses on maps, the ability to create calendar events and much more. Now, it’s rolled out another big feature that might finally convince iPhone users to move away from Safari. With the update, Chrome now allows users to move the address bar to the bottom. This change goes hand-in-hand with the visual appeal strategy of Chrome on iOS, which already has a split-bar style interface unlike its Android version.
Surprisingly, this change has only been implemented in the iOS version of Google Chrome, leaving Android users disappointed.
Announcing this addition, Google stated in a blog post: “Starting today, you can move the Chrome address bar to the bottom of the iPhone screen. We know that people prefer different locations for the address bar depending on the size of their hands and devices, and we took those preferences into account when building this highly requested feature.”
Want to customize the address bar on your iPhone’s Google Chrome? There are two ways to do it.
