Nokia Unveils 5G Phone with Removable Battery and Easy Repairability
Nokia is once again making phones with removable batteries, but this time we’re talking about smartphones. That’s right, the brand has launched two new 5G phones that are not only easy to repair, but also allow you to replace the battery when it dies. The Nokia C210 and the Nokia G310 are two phones that have these features, but only the latter supports 5G.
Nokia claims that you can easily repair parts of these phones, such as the screen, battery or even the charging port. Nokia has partnered with iFixit to provide tools to repair these parts without going to a repair shop.
Nokia C210 and Nokia G310 5G price
The Nokia C210 is priced at $109 (roughly Rs. 9,000) for the 3GB and 32GB storage variants. While the Nokia C310 5G comes at $186 (roughly Rs. 15,400) for the 4GB + 128GB model. We hope that Nokia will bring these phones to other countries.
Nokia’s budget phones with a removable battery
Both phones are made with the QuickFix design, which the company says is easy to repair. Removing the phone’s battery means you don’t have to throw away the device or pay a lot to get it repaired. You can buy a battery and attach it to the device. The unique design also allows people to replace the screen in case of damage or if the USB charging port is not working. You don’t need to be an engineer to fix these problems on these phones.
But like most Nokia phones, the hardware features aren’t the most attractive. You get the Nokia C210 and G310 5G phones with Snapdragon 662 and Snapdragon 480+ chipsets. The phone gets stock Android 13 and hopes for more updates. It also has a headphone jack, a 50MP primary rear camera on the 5G model, which also houses a 5000mAh battery that supports 20W charging speed.
