Numerous Users Express Frustration Over Elon Musk’s X Experiencing Significant Service Disruption
Several users are having trouble using X (formerly Twitter) as the Elon Musk-owned platform appears to be down.
We experienced this problem ourselves when we noticed that the timeline in the For You tab was not loading. This applies to both the website on desktop and the mobile app on iOS and Android devices. As of writing this, we still don’t see the messages (tweets) loading.
This can also be verified on the outage monitoring website Downdetector.com. According to the site, several reports of problems with the platform went up around 11:00 AM IST, and there is a distinct spike.
In the meantime, we discovered that despite the downtime in the timeline, you can still use other X features like Spaces. It’s not exactly clear how widespread the problematic issue is at the moment, but we’ll update this piece as we learn more.
