Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said on Friday that artificial intelligence will be used to improve the efficiency of the state police. According to a PTI report, Mann said the use of AI will help make the Punjab Police a pioneer in AI. The Punjab CM emphasized that the state is facing a series of challenges due to miscreants and many forces have been keeping an eye on such activities. The involvement of AI will also help improve policing in the state.

2. Artificial intelligence could improve labor productivity: US Federal Reserve Governor

US Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook said on Friday that while policymakers need to answer questions about artificial intelligence, there are signs that it could improve labor productivity. Speaking at the National Bureau of Economic Research’s conference on AI in Toronto, Cook said: “The impact of AI on the economy and monetary policy will depend on whether AI is just one application or something deeper. The empirical evidence is still fragmented, but there is work showing that generative AI improves productivity in a variety of circumstances,” Bloomberg reported.

3. The EU decides whether to participate in the artificial intelligence summit

The European Union will decide whether to attend an artificial intelligence summit in Britain in November, an EU spokesman told Reuters on Friday. EU Vice President Vera Jourova has received an invitation to the artificial intelligence summit. “We are now considering possible EU participation,” the spokesman said.
