Samsung Could Launch ChatGPT Integration on Their App
Despite blocking the use of AI chatbot ChatGPT for its employees, Samsung, a prominent tech giant, is still determined to incorporate it for its consumers.
According to reports, Samsung could bring ChatGPT into one of its mobile apps for users so that they don’t need to download any other app or browser to use the AI chatbot. Samsung’s Internet app appears to be a likely target for ChatGPT integration, as spotted by a placeholder string in the app’s code.
Samsung hasn’t officially said much about this possibility, but it’s likely that the company will share more details about ChatGPT integration when it launches the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 series in South Korea later this month.
Bringing ChatGPT to its internal app makes it attractive to Samsung users, but also encourages other users to download the app and use the AI chatbot for their inquiries and other tasks. Reports suggest that Samsung could start this integration through the Labs feature that the company offers to users who want to try out experimental features that haven’t been released to the public.
Samsung is said to be simultaneously working on its own ChatGPT competitor, which may appear in the coming months, and who knows, the ChatGPT integration could help its own AI chatbot mature and evolve faster than imagined.
Microsoft is among the first in line to have access to the latest versions of ChatGPT and features now available through Bing Search and the Edge browser. Some third-party apps like Opera are also investing in ChatGPT integration and are more likely to follow. Samsung also hopes that bringing ChatGPT to its Internet browser will make it equally attractive to its users.
