Unlock the Power of Generative AI with Microsoft Paint on Windows 11 – Here’s How!

The public can now access Microsoft Paint Cocreator, a feature that utilizes generative AI to help users create images. This feature allows users to generate images by providing text prompts to the AI model. It is exclusively available to Windows 11 users. Microsoft’s AI image generator is powered by OpenAI’s DALL-E, the same technology used in Bing Chatbot and other Microsoft services. The addition of this feature to Microsoft Paint in Windows 11 will greatly enhance the creative capabilities of users. Let’s delve into how this generative AI art feature works.

About the Microsoft Paint AI image generator

According to the Microsoft blog, the new Microsoft Paint Cocreator feature creates images using an AI model called DALL-E. Announced as part of Microsoft’s cocreater feature, the feature allows users to give the generative AI a few text prompts and provides you with three images. Microsoft said: “Whether you want to draw a dragon, a unicorn or something else, Cocreator helps you unleash your creativity and make your own works of art with the help of artificial intelligence.”

If you want to use Microsoft Paint Cocreator, open the application on your device and in the upper right corner, between the color picker and the layers section, you will see a separate cocreator icon. After that, the user is asked to write a text description of what kind of image he wants to create with the help of generative artificial intelligence. Enter a prompt and styles such as Charcoal, Sketch, Watercolor, Photorealistic, etc. The tool then creates three automatic images that you can select and edit according to your needs using other paint tools.

Microsoft Paint Cocreator is currently available in limited regions, including the US, France, UK, Australia, Canada, Italy, and Germany. In addition, the artificial intelligence model only supports the English language.

Also note that using Microsoft Paint Cocreator requires enough credit each time you create AI images. So far, the app offers 50 credits after joining Cocreator.
