Unlock the Power of Google Slides: Discover the New Recording Feature!
In 2012, Google introduced Google Slides as part of its suite of tools, allowing users to conveniently store and share their presentations on Google servers. Over time, Google Slides has undergone substantial updates and enhancements to meet user needs. Currently, there are indications that Google Slides may soon introduce a new feature: built-in presentation recording. The name itself suggests that this feature will enable users to record their presentations directly on the platform. To learn more about this upcoming feature, continue reading.
About the recording feature for Google Slides presentations
According to a report by 9To5Google, Google Slides allows users to record themselves during a presentation in the tool. Until now, Google Slides users have had to deal with third-party recording services. Google Slides’ built-in presentation recordings are saved to Google Drive storage for easy access and sharing.
To start recording the show, users just need to press the “Rec” button in the upper right corner of the screen. Your Google Presentation allows for a 30-minute session. The recording of the presentation can be shared or deleted according to the user’s preferences. The source said that in order to use Google’s built-in performance recording feature, users will be directed to a different recording studio’s interface, which will allow them to explore recording options. The user interface also consists of a toolbar at the bottom that allows users to configure camera and microphone settings. Once you’ve recorded your session, you can just tap the record button.
Note that the presentation recording feature only works on Chrome desktop computers, not mobile phones. Additionally, to use the feature, users must have an account with Google Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Essentials Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, and Education Plus.
It has been reported that the new Google Slides feature will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks, but no exact date was revealed.
