5 Strategies for Enhancing Well-Being with Apple iPhones and iPads on World Mental Health Day 2023
Every year on October 10, World Mental Health Day is observed to address the negative perception surrounding mental health problems and promote understanding. This initiative was established by the World Federation for Mental Health, a global organization dedicated to mental health. The inaugural celebration took place on October 10, 1992. In certain countries like Australia, this day is also recognized as part of Mental Health Awareness Week. The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated this year’s theme as ‘Mental health is a universal human right’.
Over the years, the world’s largest technology companies have also tried to spread awareness about mental health and improve your well-being. Apple recently announced several new mental health features for its devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. These devices have a number of features that focus on your mental well-being.
Mental health Features on Apple devices
1. Mood – iOS 17 lets you track your mental well-being by logging your mood and feelings on your iPhone or iPad. It offers insights into various factors that may affect your state of mind, such as lifestyle, stress, sleep cycle and more.
2. Mental Health Assessment – You can also take standardized mental health assessments on your iPhone or iPad, which are often used in clinics to understand your current depression and anxiety risk. You can share the results with your psychologist or mental health professional for further recommendations.

4. Fitness – Physical activity can have a positive effect on your mental well-being, and the Fitness app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch can help you keep track of all your physical activities. You can set your goals and track your progress. The Fitness app also shows information about your activity, exercise, Mindfulness and more. With Apple Watch, you can also track how much time you or your loved ones spend in daylight.
5. Sleep – Apple Watch and iPhone track your sleep together. You can set your sleep goals, such as bedtime, bedtime, and wake-up time, on your iPhone, then put your Apple Watch to sleep. It tracks your sleep cycle.
