He further stated that the company’s ambitious goal of providing nationwide coverage with its high-speed 5G network by the end of this year is still on track.

Ambani revealed during the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) that JioAirFiber will be inaugurated on September 19, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. The significant growth of Jio’s customer base has reached a whopping 450 million. Its current 5G network covers 96 percent of all cities, and the company is firmly committed to achieving nationwide coverage by December.
Ambani stated, “Jio’s collective subscriber base has crossed a significant milestone of over 450 million, underscoring a remarkable year-on-year revenue growth of over 20%.”
Data Surge Jio Online
Of note is the significant increase in data usage on Jio’s network, with each user now using an average of over 25GB per month. Reflecting on the past, Ambani highlighted the Mission that launched Jio seven years ago – a mission to transform India into a leading digital society. He proudly stated, “Our effort to build a digital public infrastructure that has garnered global admiration has been a wholehearted investment.”
Ambani said Jio is the driving force behind India’s incredible digital transformation, and there are even bigger hopes ahead. “Our aspirations now extend beyond India’s borders, as I will elaborate. But first, let’s delve into Jio True 5G, our ground-breaking 5G broadband service. Our 5G journey began last October, and in just nine months, Jio 5G covers over 96 percent of the country’s census towns,” Ambani revealed.
To reassure the public, Ambani reiterated the company’s commitment to expand the network’s coverage nationwide by December. Jio is leading the 5G adoption trend in India, already boasting an impressive 50 million 5G subscribers.
“And we are the only company that can smoothly migrate our entire 4G customer base to 5G with minimal additional capital expenditure. With the increasing adoption of Jio 5G, we are also seeing an increasing trend of high ARPU and postpaid customers choosing Jio as their preferred network,” Ambani said.
