Cupertino-based tech giant Apple on Tuesday launched the latest iPhone 15 series smartphones, including the premium iPhone Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, in India and globally. Both devices have new designs, features and specifications. From a new function button to the A17 Pro chip, a lightweight titanium design and a USB-C port, here’s everything you need to know about the latest iPhone 15 Pro models.

iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available in black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium and natural titanium. The iPhone 15 Pro starts at Rs 1,34,900 and is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage capacities. The iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,59,900 and is available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage capacities.
Customers in more than 40 countries and regions, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States, can pre-order the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max starting at 5:00 a.m. PDT this Friday, the 15 .September and availability begins on Friday, September 22.

iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display with Always-On and ProMotion technologies. Featuring Apple’s Ceramic Shield material, the devices offer up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness and are IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. Both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are powered by Apple’s new 3nm A17 Bionic chipset, which offers a 10 percent increase in performance. A17 Pro includes a separate AV1 decoder, which enables a more efficient and high-quality video experience in streaming services
Both devices offer smoother graphics and more immersive AR apps and gaming experiences. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have an all-new Action button that replaced the traditional alert slider used to toggle between ringing and silent. A new action button provides additional options to allow users to quickly select a camera or flashlight; activation of voice memos, focus modes, translations, and accessibility features such as a magnifying glass; or using shortcuts for more options.
“The press and hold gesture with fine-tuned haptic feedback and visual cues on the Dynamic Island ensures that the new button initiates the intended action,” the company said. The devices are made of Grade 5 titanium and aluminum, which increases durability and lightness.
In terms of optics, both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have a triple rear camera setup. The devices have a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The iPhone 15 Pro has a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto camera, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max model has a 12-megapixel periscope camera that can offer up to 5x optical zoom. For video calls and selfies, there is a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera on the front. In addition, the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have a USB Type-C port with USB 3.0 speeds.
