Resident Evil Village to Launch on October 30 for iPhone 15 Pro and Compatible iPads: Get the Details Here
At Apple’s iPhone 15 series Wonderlust launch event, Apple revealed that the new A17 Pro chipset, based on the new 3nm architecture, enables the iPhone to play AAA console and PC games. This is why Capcom and Apple are bringing Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake (previously only for PC and current generation consoles) to the new iPhone 15 Pro range.
The games, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village, are already listed on the App Store, and Resident Evil Village will be released for the first time on October 30, 2023. According to Capcom, the release date for Resident Evil 4 Remake is unclear, but the app. According to the store’s information page, it will be available on December 31, 2023, and is marked “coming soon.” Pre-orders for both games have also started. The trial is free, but they charge $39.99 and $59.99 for all games as in-app purchases.
Notably, these games are only playable for Apple iPhone 15 Pro owners thanks to the A17 Pro chipset, which now also supports hardware-based ray tracing. However, the games are also released for compatible Apple iPads. Here are the compatible models:

Capcom, the developer of Resident Evil Village, notes that it has dropped support for keyboard and mouse input, so you’ll need to connect a controller to an iPad or iPhone to play it. In addition, on iPhone 15 Pro models, users can take advantage of the USB-C port and connect it to a display that supports DisplayPort to output in 4k resolution – allowing you to enjoy games on a bigger screen.
Notably, Resident Evil Village was already available for Apple computers with M-series chips, starting with the M1, and is currently available for Rs 1,799.
