The OnePlus 11 concept phone hints at LED lights on the back panel, i.e. Nothing Phone (1)
OnePlus teased that it will bring the OnePlus 11 concept device to Mobile World Congress 2023 (MWC 2023) in Barcelona later this month. But until now we had no idea what the phone looks like, what it could offer and how the concept shows us something interesting.
Now, the company has released a teaser video that gives us some idea of the OnePlus 11 Concept, and yes, it seems to be inspired by the Nothing Phone (1). As seen in the clip below, the concept model features a “burning” design and blue lighting that catches every eye.
OnePlus claims that the melting touch in the ice blue color is a tube that runs through the back of the phone. It also says that the pipelines are located inside a single glass structure. The flowing blue color radiating at the back reminds us of only one thing and that is the LED Glyph connector on the Nothing Phone (1). The company has not said whether the ice blue tubes will only light up to show its features, or whether they can become a Notification Center for other aspects of the phone as well.
Nothing ruffled a few feathers with its new design approach, and it’s no surprise to see a company once co-founded by Carl Pei emulate a similar model, but in a different way.
Either way, we’ll be curious to see how this OnePlus concept device shapes up and if we get a final production version in the near future, which hasn’t happened with other concepts OnePlus has shown over the years.
OnePlus will certainly have a busy 2023, even though it will likely only have one flagship device. The company has been talking about its plans for the assembled arena, which will become official in the third quarter of this year.
